My name is Jennifer and I just took over a Daisy troop in Indiana. They are 2nd year daisies. What exactly do you swap with other troops and can anyone help a new leader. Thanks. :o

Hi Jennifer
SWAPS can be anything you like. It can show something about the troop it can revolve around a holiday or Girl Scout event. Our Ingathering each spring has a theme so we try to make the SWAP coincide with the them. Have fun with the Daises they are so cute !

Hi,
A SWAP is a little pin, made by the girls to represent a theme or event. If you look on this site, there are lots of ideas! You can either swap with another troop, or join a site where there are SWAPS with troops all around the country.
If you are interested, I also have a 2nd year daisy troop. We love to SWAP.
Happy SWAPPING!

Hi,
Our service unit has not done much swapping except for Thinking Day. Last year we were first year Daisies and I forgot to have them make SWAPS. I threw together a quick one. I went to Micheals and found flowers used in scrapbooking. It comes in a large metal tin. I took a small pom pom and glued it in the middle. Added eyes and pin. Turned out real cute. The eyes didn't need to be straight as it added expression to the flower. Note: be careful of the paper flowers though, they do tear.

If you want to SWAP let me know. Wouldn't be a cool project to collect SWAPS from other DAISY troops? I am trying to figure out how to represent Memphis/Germantown, TN the best right now.

I am also new to Girl Scouting. I want my first year Daisies to have the best time possible. What SWAPS would you recommend for a beginner? I also need some that don't require a hot glue gun as we will be at parks for some of our meetings. We meet year-round in MacDill AFB, FL. Any help will be appreciated!

I really like the idea of exchanging SWAPS with other States. If you are intersted in doing this please let me know. My direct email is liz_622@msn.com. I am a Daisy leader in Chicago, Illinois.

Hi,
I've not done much swapping so would love to become penpal/swapping buddy with another 2nd year Brownie troop. We're in MA near Boston. I have 12 girls in my troop.
Contact me sallykaie@comcast.net if you would like to do it.
Thanks :)

My troop has made quit a bit of SWAPS. One of my favs is the Caterpillar one all you need is pom poms google eyes and some type or stick pin and a tongue depressor stick cut in half. Glue the pom poms on the tongue depressor stick and the eyes on one of the pom poms and there ya go! If you need any help or ideals please feel free to contact me! Happy swapping
